A new genre is circling the industry - New Adult.
Its focus is on stories aimed at late teens to mid-twenty year olds. This genre opens up a whole new world of possibilities.
It would also be the genre for The Circle of Friends, as the age of my characters fit in that age range.

Please welcome Amethyst Collins!
I learned to love to read at a very young age. Not long after came my interest in writing. This story is a result of
my entrance to the contest National Novel Writing Month, or nanowrimo, which means the majority of this story was written
in November of my sophomore year in high school. I play softball (and have in the past participated in basketball, volleyball,
and cross-country) and I'm in both the concert and marching bands at school as a clarinet player. I currently live as a junior
with my parents and three younger brothers, where my other interests include
acting, watching So You Think You Can Dance (among other shows), and spending time with my friends.
